A glorious day today! In all the times we have been here we have never managed to get out to the Statue of Liberty or Ellis Island as the queues were always so enormous when we tried before. Well in January the queues are not so bad. We had breakfast at the Red Flame Diner and went to Grand Central Station to catch the subway to Bowling Green. Walked through Battery Park to get tickets then joined a small queue and got on the next boat firstly to the Statue of Liberty which was awe inspiring then to Ellis Island. To walk in the halls where immigrants first arrived to start their new lives was amazing. We had a beautiful sunny day to enjoy this wonderful experience that I highly recommend.
