Museum Mile

So, the weather wasn't great at the start of the day on Wednesday 20th April in NYC so we decided to spend the day in the museum's and gallery's we so wanted to visit. After breakfast we went to The Met, you could spend a whole day in just one of the exhibition's and still not see everything so it was a fleeting glimpse at as much as we could and we know we can go back there and still see more. It was busy, busy, busy. Don't go in the Easter holidays is my recommendation. There was a great singing group busking outside. We had a hot dog in Central Park with a jazz group serenading us. Caught a taxi back to hotel midtown to drop off bags i.e. souvenir paintings we bought. Then went to MOMA to see Monet and Dali paintings, I went to the American Folk Art Museum to see my beloved quilt exhibition which has its own posting. We all met up at Rockerfeller Plaza (perhaps the only place I can find on my own). Supper at the Red Flame Diner then spent the evening at the Top of the Rock Observation Deck. Long day, cold foot bath in order.
