Downton Abbey.....
We have been wanting to visit Downton Abbey AKA Highclere Castle for ages but every time we had the opportunity it was closed either for filming or for Winter but at last our dates aligned and we headed over there quite early as from their blurb it seemed to be first come first served limited entry so we got to park right in front of the Castle which was lovely and in talking to the staff on the gate entry is not as limited as it seems on the website so that's good to know for future reference. It was a beautiful day out, the house and the gardens are lovely. I will say though there is a lot of deception with camera angles to make things appear a lot more spacious than they are in real life. Quite surprising really.

Wareham and Shell Bay outing....
Chris and I are trying to get out and about a little bit more than usual this year and do more things together to make better use of our limited time together. Even during the early Spring when it can still be cold, if there is a little bit of sunshine it seems a shame to waste a day indoors so we did a trip to Wareham and came home via Shell Bay and the Sandbanks ferry.
We stayed in this B&B with a 15 month old Natasha on our first ever family holiday. |
